The approach
Fewer exercises, done properly, for longer than feels interesting.
Almost everyone arrives having tried the opposite: a different workout every day, lots of sweating, no measurable progress. Strength is boring on purpose. You repeat a small number of movements, add a little weight each week, and let eight weeks of that do what no amount of variety can.
We find your real starting point
A movement screen and baseline numbers, including the things that already hurt. No assumptions carried over from who you were at twenty-five.
You get a written programme
Not a session invented on the day. A plan with a direction, so week six is deliberately harder than week one.
Every set gets logged
Load, reps, how it felt. Progress becomes a number you can see rather than a feeling you're chasing.
We review every eight weeks
What's working continues. What isn't gets changed. This is the part most people skip, and it's why their training stalls.
Where I train
Four communities, one standard.
Each area has its own page with the detail that actually matters locally — where sessions run, who tends to come, and what they're usually training for.

What you can train for.
One-to-one strength training
The core of it. Private sessions, a written programme that progresses week to week, and a coach who knows what you lifted last Tuesday. Two or three sessions a week is where almost everyone lands.
Semi-private for two
Train with a partner or spouse. Same programming standard, shared hour, lower cost each - and a built-in reason to turn up.
Return from injury
For people cleared by a physio but not confident loading again. Conservative progressions, honest about what hurts, and a clear line about when something needs a clinician instead.
Strength for runners and cyclists
Two lifting days built around your mileage rather than in competition with it. For the Greenway and river-trail crowd who have the engine and none of the chassis.
Over-50 strength
Muscle and bone density are use-it-or-lose-it after fifty. Unglamorous, highly effective, and the single best predictor of how independent you'll be at eighty.
Programme-only coaching
You train yourself, I write and adjust the programme monthly with video review. For disciplined people who don't need a spotter, only a plan.
Common questions
The things everyone asks first.
How much does personal training cost in Alpharetta?
It depends on how often you train and whether you're on your own or with a partner. Rather than quote a number that may not apply to you, the consultation covers it directly - and if the budget doesn't work, programme-only coaching costs considerably less than in-person sessions.
How many sessions a week do I actually need?
Two is the honest minimum for progress. Three is better if the schedule allows. One session a week maintains rather than builds, which is fine if that's the goal but worth being clear about up front.
Do you train beginners, or only experienced lifters?
Mostly beginners and returners. If you've never touched a barbell, you're the easiest person to make progress with, because nothing has to be un-learned first.
What happens in the first session?
A movement screen, some baseline numbers, and enough actual training that you leave feeling like you did something. You also leave with the written programme for the weeks ahead.
