Strength to support the running
Roswell's training problem isn't motivation - it's that the Chattahoochee trails and the Canton Street social calendar already fill the week. Strength work has to be efficient enough to survive both. Two sessions a week, progressive, with homework that takes twenty minutes.
A lot of Roswell clients arrive as runners and cyclists with excellent engines and no structural strength. The programme is built to complement the miles rather than compete with them - two lifting days that make the long run feel easier, not harder.
The goal here is rarely a number on a bar. It's carrying a kayak to the river at sixty without thinking about it.
Getting here
Convenient to Historic Roswell, Canton Street and Roswell Area Park, and an easy run up from Holcomb Bridge. If you're already running the Vickery Creek trails, lifting is the half of the equation you're missing.
Services
What Roswell clients train for.
Strength for runners and cyclists
Built for the Vickery Creek and river-trail regulars: two lifting days placed around your mileage so the long run gets easier, not heavier.
Over-50 strength
Roswell skews towards people who intend to still be paddling and hiking at seventy. Bone density and leg strength are how that happens.
Semi-private for two
Popular with Roswell couples who already walk the Chattahoochee together and would rather lift together than separately.
Roswell questions
Asked by people nearby.
I run four days a week. Will lifting slow me down?
The opposite, if it's programmed around your mileage. Heavy days go where your easy runs are, never the day before a long run. Runners who add two strength sessions typically report the same pace feeling easier within six weeks.
Do I need to give up the Canton Street weekends?
No. A plan you resent lasts about three weeks. We build around real life, including the parts of it that involve a bar that isn't a barbell.
How long before I notice a difference?
Strength gains show up in weeks two to four, mostly from better technique. Visible change takes longer and depends far more on what you eat than on what happens in the session.
